The Investor Visa (E-2) is a visa that allows foreigners to reside in the United States for business purposes, and its purpose is to promote employment in the United States
PURPOSE
The basic purpose of the Investor Visa is twofold. That is, to invest money in the United States to do business and at the same time to create jobs by hiring American unemployed people. Therefore, the more money you invest in the United States and the more permanent residents or U.S. citizens you hire as employees, the easier it is to obtain an Investor Visa (E-2).
The following are important things to consider when obtaining an Investor Visa (E-2)
Changing to an E-2 visa status or extending an E-2 visa is possible in the United States. Currently, if you pay an expedited processing fee of $2,500 to the immigration office, the E-2 visa processing will be decided in 3 weeks in the United States. • The spouse and unmarried minor children of an E-2 visa applicant have the same E-2 visa status as the applicant.
Workers with essential skills can obtain E-2 visa status even if they do not make an investment.
Once an applicant obtains an E-2 visa, he or she can stay in the United States for 2 years, and unlike other visas, as long as he or she continues to meet the conditions for extending the E-2 visa, he or she can extend it for an indefinite 2-year period.
The spouse of the investor is eligible to request a work permit, granting authorization to work legally in any location and to obtain a social security number, which will enable them to obtain a driver's license in the United States.
The investor's children can also receive an E-2 visa and attend public school.
